Katherine Schacht has been a resident of the Coburg area for over 37 years.
Katherine has been on the Board of Directors at EPUD since 1987, and has had the
distinction of being Board President numerous times.  Katherine is a proven
leader not only at EPUD, but as past President of Oregon People's Utility
District, past Chair of the Metropolitan Wastewater Management Commission, the
Lane Council of Governments, and the Southern Willamette Corporation.  Presently
she has been appointed by the American Public Power Association to a three
year term with the the American Public Power Policy Makers Council.
This appointment is an honor that Katherine takes very seriously as she has the
opportunity to meet with legislators and policy makers in Washington DC and
influence how they vote on issues that affect ratepayers.

Katherine is the past General Manager of the Metropolitan
Wastewater Management Commission in Lane County.  She has worked for Standard
Oil in the private sector and has been a small business owner.  She has a
Bachelors in Community Service and Public Affairs and a Masters in
Industrial Relations from the U. of O.  Katherine understands rural
life, having grown up on a farm.

Katherine's experience and 24 years of working for you on the EPUD Board
is what we need to continue at EPUD through the next 4 years.

Katherine wants to continue to look out for the interests of rural customers like you.
